The 1/2 inch Harness Leather Reins are traditionally used on the curb
ring position of your Pelham bit. They are about 7 feet in length and
are weighted on one end. They are made of Herman Oak Leather.
If desired, you can soak these reins in a high quality Neetsfoot oil
overnight. Then you can "pull" the reins across a small diamiter round
object (like a screw driver) in each direction to soften the leather.
